    The college is a coeducational day and boarding school for approximately 600 pupils aged 11 to 19. There are 325 Boarders of which 100 are full time Boarders. The majority of the Boarders are British, but there is a strong international school community with pupils from 12 different countries. The College offers GCSE and A-Level qualifications. EAL (English as an Additonal Language) students receive support during the week in a variety of ways; in-class support is available, as well as small group or individual lessons. International students are required to sit entrance exams in Maths, English and subjects they wish to study at A level.

    Set in 1,200 acres of countryside on the North Hampshire and Surrey border, the college is 33 miles from the nearest international airport Heathrow, less than an hour’s travel time.

    A Day in the Life of…

    The school day for boarders starts with breakfast from 7.30am and lessons start at 8.45am. There are 6 x 50 minute lessons each week day and every afternoon after lessons there are sports and activities which finish at around 5.30pm. There is a formal prep time in the boarding houses each evening from 7 – 9pm. Bed times are from 9pm – 11pm depending on the age of the pupils.

    Lord Wandsworth offers more than 40 different activities and sports so there is
    always something appealing to all different types of pupils. On Saturdays things are less formal there are no lessons but there are two activity sessions or academic clinics and extra EAL followed by sports in the afternoon and evening entertainment for the boarders.
    Sundays is for relaxing and going out on trips; the College’s location means that pupils can visit lots of different and interesting places, London, Oxford, Windsor, Bath, Brighton, Winchester to name a few. There are also activities such as; go-karting, trampolining, skating, bowling and the cinema.
