Bredon is is a boarding and day school with CReSTeD-accredited specialist support for dyslexia, dyspraxia and associated SpLD. The school has just over 200 pupils and over 40% of pupils board at the school. Class sizes are typically 10-12 pupils.
Bredon offers a wide-ranging academic and vocational curriculum for boys and girls, from 7 – 18 years old, and welcomes overseas pupils. The school offers GCSE’s and A Levels, but recognises that while some pupils will learn best in a classroom setting, others will learn through exploration; still others will gain tremendously from the performing arts or from their growing sporting prowess.
Pupils are welcome to Board from age 9 upwards. Flexible timetabling is structured according to the needs of individuals.
Whilst less than 5% of the current pupils are international students, EAL instruction is provided and the need for EAL classes is determined at the admissions stage. Bredon caters for individual needs, learning styles and cultural backgrounds. Tuition is in small groups and, when necessary, one-to-one support lessons are provided.
Bredon school is based in the English countryside on the borders of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire. Bredon is about 52 miles from Birmingham airport. The nearest major town is Tewkesbury which is approximately 4 miles away.
