KEY INFORMATION:
Each pathway is designed to fully prepare students for an undergraduate degree in their chosen field, for example a student studying our Business & Finance pathway could go on to study a range of related degrees, such as Business Management, Finance, Economics and so on. A student studying on the Computing & Engineering pathway might go on to study Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science or any other related degree subject.
Students can choose any degree subject they like, as long as this is related to the pathway of study they have chosen at the UFP.

Basic overview of course content/length:
The UFP is an intensive course that runs for one academic year, half the length of traditional A Levels. The UFP runs over 3 terms:
Term 1: In the first term students must complete three mandatory minor modules: Maths, IT and English
Terms 2 & 3: Students select three major modules that are relevant to their intended degree course. There are 18 different modules to choose from:
Accounting, Economics, Further Mathematics, Business Organisation, Quantitative Methods, Chemistry, Further Computing, Physics, Law, Media & Film studies, Politics, Psychology, Sociology, Spatial Design, Fashion Design, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Photography
On average, students have approximately 22 – 28 hours of lessons per week, and are expected to supplement this with 10-15 hours of private study.
Starting/finish dates:
There are two start dates for our courses – September and January. Both complete in time for a September start at university the following year.
