HISTORY:
Goldsmiths, University of London was founded in 1891 as a teacher training college and joined the University of London in 1904. Based at its New Cross campus since opening in 1891, Goldsmiths has since become famous for its Art, Design, Media, Humanities and Social Sciences programmes.
LOCATION:
Goldsmiths is ranked between 401-500 in the Times Higher Education University World Rankings.
INTERNATIONAL:
Goldsmiths has a very diverse student population and approximately 30% of the student body is made up of international students coming from over 135 countries.
SIZE:
Goldsmiths has approximately 10,000 students – 7,000 at undergraduate level and 3,000 at postgraduate level
FACILITIES:
Goldsmiths has its own gym and tennis court on campus, as well as a Student Union with 21 sports clubs and societies. Goldsmiths has a cinema, theatre, and music venue on campus whilst New Cross, the area where the campus is located, also has many exciting cultural venues such as theatres, art galleries, music venues, night clubs, bars and restaurants. Goldsmiths is a 5-10 minute train ride from Central London.

University accommodation is guaranteed for all International Students. Accommodation costs start at £150 per week for a single occupancy room with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.
