History of the School
Founded in 1976, St Andrew's College Cambridge has almost 50 years of experience preparing international and UK students for top universities in the UK and around the world. Originally established as a specialist sixth-form college, it has since become part of Dukes Education, a leading group of independent schools and colleges, since 2021. The college is known for its academic excellence, small class sizes, and personalized support, helping thousands of students successfully progress to Russell Group and G5 universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial College and UCL.
Pre-16 qualifications
We offer a range of programmes for students aged 15+ to prepare for advanced academic study: 1-Year GCSE Programme Ideal for students who wish to gain core UK qualifications before progressing to A-Level, Foundation, or IB pathways. Pre-A Level Programme A bridging course focused on academic English, subject preparation, and study skills for entry into A-Level or Foundation programmes. Pre-IB Programme Designed for students considering the International Baccalaureate. It introduces IB-style learning, strengthens core subjects, and develops independent study skills to ensure a smooth transition into the full IB Diploma (offered at Dukes partner schools).

Pastoral care
Pastoral care is at the heart of student life at St Andrew's College Cambridge. Each student is supported by a dedicated house parent, who provides 24/7 care in the boarding residence and acts as a key point of contact for both students and families. Our pastoral team works closely with academic staff, two on-site school nurses, and the Head of Boarding to monitor student wellbeing, personal development, and mental health. Regular check-ins, activities, and access to counselling ensure that every student feels safe, supported, and part of a caring, inclusive community.
Extra-curricular activities
