Location Oxford Sixth Form College is located in the heart of the city, just a few steps from the world-renowned University of Oxford, and historical museums such as the Ashmolean.The College is 1 hour from Heathrow and 1.5 hours from Gatwick Airport
History of the School The college has approximately 110 international students from a broad range of nationalities with all international students using the full boarding provision offered by the College.Established in 1988 Oxford Sixth form College is a co-educational college in Oxford, with 150 pupils aged 15-18.
Pre-16 qualifications
Post 16 qualifications Oxford Sixth Form College offers more than 20 different subjects for study at A-Level of which many are available as one year A-levels. Our intensive and focused teaching enables us to prepare students for the A-Level examinations in one year. Our One Year A-Level classes are designed for four different categories of students; those needing to retake an A-Level over one year; academically able students who have completed their education in their home country at the age of 17, 18 or 19; students wanting to change direction and thus need a subject at A-Level they have not studied since GCSE; students studying one A-level alongside the BTEC Business Diploma with us over one year.
Academic performance
Boarding accommodation All the rooms in the college boarding houses are single, en-suite rooms, fully furnished and the costs include half board accommodation (breakfast and evening meal provided). Students may stay in their accommodation during the October and February half-term holidays. Host family options also available, if preferred.
Pastoral care
Extra-curricular activities Oxford Sixth Form College offers a lively programme of visits and extra-curricular activities that complement the academic curriculum. While staying with them, students will have a great cultural experience and come away with memories of Oxford that will last a lifetime. Their clubs and societies are run by our staff on a voluntary basis and cover a wide range of interests.
