HISTORY:
ACS Cobham opened in 1975 with 175 Kindergarten to 9th Grade students. The Heywood Estate made a perfect campus location with historic buildings and 128-acres of grounds situated only 30 minutes by train from central London
EXTRA-CURRICULAR:
ACS Cobham they understand the value of co-curricular activities in helping to provide a well-rounded and balanced school experience. Together they shape the young hearts and minds that grow to respect cultural differences, and choose to make a difference to the lives of others.
This is most clearly seen in their many student-led outreach programmes. It is also highlighted by our long-standing commitment to create brighter learning opportunities in Namibia, and the international works of our Disaster Relief Fund to help alleviate the impact of sudden tragedy wherever it may occur in the world.

ENGLISH SUPPORT:
They are proud of our international and multicultural ethos. The diversity of their student body is what makes us different, with 70 different nationalities within the school, internationalism is a part of everyday life. Their students learn how to get on and work side by side, and respect students from many different cultures and parts of the world, as well as local students who also choose to be part of their international community.
There is an abundance of help and support for new students, ensuring they all settle in well, with many making lifelong friends. It’s the exchange of individual experiences and mindsets that makes being a student in this mutli-cultural environment so interesting and a great preparation for the future world of work that awaits them.
SIZE:
Today, ACS Cobham enrols over 1,400 students aged 2 to 18, and offers both the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and an American curriculum, including the Advanced Placement.

ACCOMMODATION:
They champion internationalism, with over 70 nationalities represented. Everyone in our community has one thing in common – what makes them all different is ultimately what makes them all the same and binds us together. Our very foundation is international, and their boarding experience encompasses everything your child would wish for.
PASTORAL:
They have a fully supported pastoral care programme with an assistant principal who oversees all aspects of pastoral care, two dedicated personal counsellors and a visiting therapeutic counsellor each week.
There is a consistency of support within each grade level with students receiving the day-to-day support of their homeroom teacher. Their heads of year work closely with school counsellors and the assistant principal to support the emotional and behavioural needs of our students.
SEN:
Programmes offered include: International Baccalaureate Diploma & Advanced Placement (AP) . ACS Cobham is co-educational and has approximately 1,189 pupils aged 2-18 from over 80 countries. The school opened a new boarding house in 2017, with all-ensuite single and twin rooms, and currently has 150 boarders aged 12-18.
