HISTORY:
Cobham Hall was converted into a military hospital in WWI, and a home for RAF officers in WWII. The Darnley family finally left the Hall in 1957, and in 1962 Cobham was converted into a school for girls, a role it still fulfils. Though Cobham Hall is a full-time school, the buildings are regularly open to visitors.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR:
There are a wide variety of activities during the week and at weekends and they always encourage new suggestions from their girls. On Saturdays, activities range from baking, pampering and ice skating as well as an annual trip to the Pantomime. On Sundays there are trips to London, Brighton, Thorpe Park, panic rooms, paint-balling and go-karting. There are also more sedate activities such as shopping in nearby Bluewater and Stratford. They work hard to ensure that there is something on the menu for everybody.
ENGLISH SUPPORT:
The College offers the following qualifications; GCSE, A Levels.
The English as an Additional Language (EAL) team helps to fully integrate all pupils whose first language is not English into the academic, sporting, artistic and social aspects of school life by helping them to develop their English language skills.
