A new tour of UK universities for international students is being launched by UK Education Guide and Padworth College, designed to assist students considering assessing their higher education options.
The inaugural UK University Tour will take place from May 27th to 4th June, during the UK half term, and will incorporate visits to five universities: the University of Cambridge, the University of Southampton, the University of Reading, Imperial College London and St George’s (University of London).
Each site visit will include a campus tour, information about the university, particularly STEM provision, details on admission processes by a university representative and/or student, and lunch on campus.
The tour will be hosted by a Director of UK Education Guide , which works with UK independent schools and universities to place international students, while accommodation will be provided at Padworth College in Reading, which offers tuition for international students aged 14 to 19 years old, and is part of the Inspiring Futures Education group along with Bishopstrow College .
Workshop sessions during the programme will also include one-to-one advice on institution and course selection, guidance on writing a compelling personal statement, perspectives on exploring the difference in style of learning at university, and how to prepare for university.
Pat Moores , Director of UK Education Guide, told StudyTravel Magazine, “All the research we have conducted with international students studying at UK schools confirms the view that they want to be offered the same opportunities to visit universities as domestic students.
“We hope the tour during May half term is the first of many and helps students make better-informed higher education choices based on visits, experiencing both the city and the university campus, before decisions are made.”
Agents are being offered a 20 per cent commission for students placed on tours. Click here for more information.
