Programme The University Foundation Programme is usually studied over one academic year (a two-year programme is available – more specifically for pupils whose English is some way off the traditional 6.5 mark required for university entry). The one-year course has two intakes in September and January and offers a wide-ranging subject choice giving pupils the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge in specific subject areas; e.g. Business, Law, Finance, Economics, Medicine, Architecture, Sport, Sciences for Nursing, Art and Design, Mathematics and Physics and Computing. The University Foundation Programme has recognised progression pathways to a large number of universities in the UK, and increasingly to more international overseas. With university accreditation, this qualification will allow pupils to gain access to appropriate degree level programmes.
