History British Summer School launched in summer 2022, we aim to inspire our students and develop the knowledge, abilities and qualities needed to fulfil their potential in both their personal and professional lives. We increase our students’ ability and confidence to communicate and operate in the 21 st century to help them become happy, confident, and successful individuals in a global and competitive world. Our portfolio is designed to be developmental and progressive, adapted to the age range of each course. Student numbers, nationalities and language quotas are controlled to provide a personal, intimate, and carefully managed experience for every student.
Sports Sports and Leisure programme available every day.Every day after lessons, students participate in a choice of different sports and recreational activities. These sessions, which are organized and supervised by staff,enable students to continue practising their listening and speaking skills while doing something they enjoy (A list of activities can be found in our brochure page 62)
English Support We select our teachers, coaches and facilitators very carefully to make sure that all students feel happy, engaged and energised in the lessons, as this is how they learn best.Class size – maximum 14Placement Test – Students are asked to complete an online grammar/vocabulary test 2-4 weeks before arrival. On arrival, they take a short speaking and writing test to confirm all aspects of their English level.
Key Features Excursions are a important and compulsory part of the programme and enable students to visit London and other places of cultural and historical interest, go to the seaside as well as provide an opportunity for recreational activities and shopping.Saturdays, except for Clayesmore students, these excursions are usually to London (not guaranteed) and can consist of a walking tour to see some of the famous sites and/ or visit a famous tourist attraction, depending on the schedule and time available. Sundays, usually consists of a visit to a local city or seaside town. Saturdays for our Artists of the future students (Clayesmore) consist of an Inspiration Trip designed to develop their curiosity, creativity and artistic flair.
Accommodation Boys and girls sleep in suitable boarding accommodation on campus. Students who share their bedroom are placed with children of the same sex and of a similar age.Brambletye: School boarding houses – 4 to 10 beds per room, shared bathrooms.Worth: School boarding houses – 1 -2 beds per room (majority single), ensuite.Clayesmore: School boarding houses – 2 to 5 beds per room, shared bathrooms.Oundle: School boarding houses – 2 to 5 beds per room, shared bathrooms.Moulton College boarding houses – 1 – 2 beds per room ensuite
BSS Experience – featuring True Me Featured in every course, we provide an impressive programme of evening entertainment called BSS Experience that consists of fun sociable challenges and events that are designed to deliver True Me. Students work as a team to problem solve, create, compete and learn whilst building their individual and social skills.Through team games, icebreaker activities and fun challenges, students meet their peers, begin to build friendships, and gain an understanding of our mission – To put the student front and centre of everything we do, help them focus, find their flow, discover their ‘True Me’ and prepare them to be future ready.

Students will be able to build confidence in their creative abilities in Art, Dance, Drama and Music and unleash their artistic brilliance.
Worth – 100 students per week Adventurers | 10-16yrs | Worth | 20 hrs of study per week | Focus Adventure | £1,575 per week | 30 June-10 August 2024This course focuses on improving students English while stimulating their appetite for adventure and help them build their self-confidence along the way. New for 2024: students will visit an outdoor activity centre every Wednesday.
Clayesmore – 100 students per week Artists | 11-17yrs | Clayesmore | 20 hrs of study per week | Focus Art | £1,575 per week | 7 July-10 August 2024Tailored for young budding artists looking to refine their skills. Students will be able to practise art, drama, music, dance or vocals as well as learning skills that will enable their artistic talents to flourish in the future. Boarders | 11-15yrs | Clayesmore | 20 hrs of study per week | Focus Boarding | £1,575 per week | 7 July-10 August 2024 | A2 Level RequiredThis course offers a taste of British Boarding School life. Students will participate in daily workshops such as British Culture & Values, Mental Arithmetic, Popular British Sports, Study Skills and Interview Training.
