History
The North-East of England has been a foundation for learning for over 900 years - predating even the ancient universities at Oxford and Cambridge. Prince Bishop International Summer School continues that strong tradition of education in the North East at Fyling Hall School which was established in 1923 and our programme director Lisa McGee has been providing educational services to young people from around the world for over 28 years. We bring learning, adventure and fun so your child experiences the most unforgettable summer. Our courses allow your child the chance to shine and share their interests with new friends.
Sports
Daily sports sessions are delivered by dedicated, experienced and highly qualified coaches in their specialist sport of either football, hockey or watersports. These are all suitable for students who are complete beginners or experienced players who want to perfect their skills.
Coaches help your child improve their fitness levels; strategy and tactics as well as help they integrate into a range of groups and have the best time. Sports are not only offered as a pathway but all children have the opportunity to try a range of multi sports with boxing,
personal training, strength and conditioning, yoga and team games.
English Support
Each student will receive 20 hours of accredited English tuition; daily practice with native
speakers to fully immerse students in the language and will be awarded a certificate.

Pastoral
Your child’s welfare and happiness is the most important consideration for us. We have a dedicated member of staff who oversees all pastoral matters and communicates with parents. All staff are mental health first aiders and trained in meditation, which we do daily.
We can accommodate all faiths and have dedicated prayer rooms for students wishing to practise their faith whilst studying with us. We also can arrange children who want to visit other places of worship to do so. If this is off site there will be a small additional charge.

Overlooking the picturesque coastline of Robin Hood’s Bay, ensconced in the scenic beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, Fyling Hall provides a more intimate Summer School setting.
