History
NCUK has a rich history dating back to 1987 when a consortium of universities in the north of England universities formed a steering group to create pathways for international students to study in the UK. Recognising the challenges of traditional routes, they developed a successful pathway program that allowed international students to attend leading UK universities. In 1993, the consortium registered the Northern Consortium charity with NCUK being established in 2003 as a subsidiary to continue providing access to quality education. NCUK has supported over 50,000 students in progressing to prestigious universities worldwide through their pre-university and degree pathway qualifications.
